| Architecte de données - Mtl. 6 mois renouvellable. Nous sommes à la recherche d’un architecte de données pour un mandat de 12 mois (6 mois initial avec prolongation) situé Montréal. Working with the lead solution architect, the data architect is responsible of the design for all aspects related to information/data design and a successful Migration of the company’s Application onto a new MVS platform (Z10) · Play a leading role in operational database redesign from mainframe to a three tier application. · Plan, design an end to end information architect including data for the new application · Provide expertise in data analysis and design, focusing on and leading the areas of data migration and data integration architecture · Working closely with all internal and external teams, provide technical guidance and leadership in the development, implementation and support activities related to data model, data migration and information architecture for the new application · As a member of the IT Architecture group, participate in the definition of enterprise-wide application and infrastructure architecture, and standards · Resolves highly complex technical issues, conducts advanced research, and identifies product/service innovations, while exercising a wide degree of creativity and latitude. · Provides technical guidance and leadership to all internal and external teams involved in the development process. Functions: · Promote strategies, plans, and architectural guidelines for establishing a quality, integrated data environment across the different layers of the new applications. · Provide a leading role in the application migration with expert guidance and consultancy in all matters relating to information management to maximize the building and re-use of shared data. · Provide leadership and direction for integrating and rationalizing data design · Demonstrate proficiency in facilitating large complex assignments while taking an enterprise wide view of data requirements. · Contribute to the evolution of the Enterprise Information Model to support all platforms · Participate in data profiling, data cleansing, source system analysis and mapping, and data quality issue resolution activities · Participate in the development of data management processes, such as data profiling, data cleansing, and metadata management. · Participate in developing Data Architecture strategies, principles, standards and frameworks, and in reviews of proposed project data architectures. · Manage and maintain the data model library and data dictionary · Participate on and chairs the reporting and data governance committee related to the Mainframe application migration · Assist in the monitoring of query and database performance along with query repetitions and their impact on the data warehouse. · Participate in the evaluation of reporting, query, analysis and performance management requests. · Monitor data quality throughout the organization and works directly with all assigned business system owners to implement and maintain data quality standards. · Conduct studies of data technologies · As a member of the IT Architecture Group, accountable to IT management team, actively participate in the definition of and adherence to the strategic direction and standards of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and applications’ architecture. · Develop guidelines and standards that production teams will use to help guide their work. · Prepare all architecture documentation to be used by the production team · Ensure documentation is continuously updated and distributed to the production team. Required Skills and competencies · Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Information Technology, Engineering). An advanced degree in a related area, an asset. · A minimum of 7 preferably 10 years of recent, hands on working experience with SQL Server and DB2 RDBMS, Data Access Object · Strong technical skills in data modeling, process modeling, and object oriented analysis and design · Strong entity relationship design and modeling skills from enterprise-wide conceptual models and project level physical models to traditional and dimensional models · Proven experience implementing designed models into a physical environment · Proven knowledge of structured methodologies and data modeling standards, guidelines and best practices · Ability to work with the business in defining mutually acceptable modeling scenarios. · Experience working on system with large data volumes · Experience in infrastructure/application planning and tuning · Expertise in heterogeneous transactional environments. · Experience in designing and implementing large server software with particular attention to security, scalability and high performance. · Working knowledge of Hibernate data access layer an asset. · Working knowledge of XML and various XML-based standards (XSD, XPATH, etc...) · Familiar with current and emerging system integration standards (SOA-related: e.g. WSDL, BPEL, SDO) · Experience with data modeling tool Power Designer · Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows , DB2, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle,, OpenLDAP · Experience in with web and application environments (Tomcat, JBOSS and WebLogic) an asset · Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, Visio and Internet browsers. · Able to take a creative approach to problem solving. · Experience working within multidisciplinary and collaborative environments. · Effective oral and written communication skills. · Strong team player with effective interpersonal skills. · Thorough, detail-oriented and highly organized. · Strong business and technical vision. · Strong leadership skills. · Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. · Self-motivated and dedicated with a desire to learn. · Bilingual (English, French). |
